Join MSC at the weekly Clark Street Farmer's Market

 We are excited to share with you a recent opportunity for our school to participate in the first Clark Street Market hosted by The Church of the Good Shepherd (GSE) across the street from Clark’s Grove.  We have secured space for the entire summer as a way to feature produce from our school garden and crafts created by our school family.   

The market will be held each Wednesday in the parking lot of GSE from May 18-October 26, 2011 between the hours of 4pm-6:30pm.

 HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT MSC AT THE MARKET?

ALL - Come out each week to purchase goods from the market.

TEACHERS - Your class can sell produce, herbs and various arts & crafts as noted on the rules and regulations form.  The proceeds will go back to your class for pre-identified projects and efforts.

PARENTS - You can bring items from your garden or hand-crafted goods to be sold at the market.  We ask that a portion of the proceeds go back to the "Outdoor Classroom" fund to help expand program. 

Parents can also earn parent-service hours by helping with set-up, sales and pack-up.  Designate your time slots during registration.

HOW CAN YOU SIGN-UP AND PARTICIPATE?

We need participation each week, but you don’t have to be present each week if it is not possible.  Just sign up by CLICKING HERE and indicate what weeks you'd like to participate and what items you can provide for the market.  The more the better! 

Getting the kids involved is paramount - please bring the children to the market so that they can sell items and tell the community about our wonderful school.

WHAT MSC WILL PROVIDE....

We have a 10X12 space designated to represent our school each week.  We will provide a tent, tables, chairs and signage each week to house all goods supplied by our school.  Feel free to bring anything that will best promote the sales and display of our combined produce and crafts.

Please be sure to review the attached the program advertisement as well as the market rules and regulations, but here are some questions and comments to jumpstart our partnership to get this off to a great start:

GETTING READY FOR THE MARKET......

You (your class) would have to price and bundle all items and have them ready for market each week.  We are using a label machine, ribbon and other things to assure that our logo and web address are on as many items as possible.  The machine will be available in the front office or you can coordinate labeling with Nicole or Ashley.

Provide a listing of what you (or your class) will sell each week to include prices by Tuesday at 5pm.

Identify a listing of items that may not be ready yet, but will be ready in weeks to come.  We would like to post a sign as to what shoppers can look for the following weeks.
