Our History
• Established in 1990 as a primary (ages 3-6) program
• Opened as Montessori Children's Cottage in 1992
•Incorporated in 1992
•Moved to a renovated historic dedicated facility expanded adding Lower Elementary in 1993
•Gained non-profit status in 1993
•Expanded adding Upper Elementary in 1995
•Moved to specifically suited modular facility in 1999
•Moved to Covington in 2001 into temporary space as we launched a capital campaign for new facility
•Changed name to Montessori School of Covington in 2001
•Expanded, adding Middle School in 2003
•Moved to Clark's Grove, Covington in 2005
•Moved into our new facility at 4108 Summers St. in Covington in 2005

The mission of Montessori School of Covington is to build an enriching partnership in the community by providing families with an authentic and accredited curriculum founded on the education philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.
We strive to provide a learning environment tailored to enhance your child's physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. We are concerned with your child's individual growth and potential. It is our goal to give our children a basis for strong character and moral development, happiness and fulfillment, thus encouraging harmony and courage.
